Aviva Drescher (born September 9, 1970) is an American reality television personality best known for appearing on The Real Housewives of New York.

Early Life

She was born in Manhattan, New York City to parents George and Ingrid Teichner. When she was six years old, she was in a farm accident which resulted in the amputation of her left leg. She completed a B.A. at Vassar College, a master's degree in French at New York University, and a law degree at Benjamin N. Cardoza School of Law.


Aviva, although having a law degree, does not practice law and instead is a housewife on the Upper East Side. She does a lot of philanthropic work and is a National Spokesperson for One Step Ahead, an organisation for amputees, an Advisory Board Member of Cancer Schmancer/Trash Cancer and does work for the Live4Life Foundation.

Personal Life

She was married to first husband, Harry Dubin, with whom she has one son, Harrison Dubin (2002) but the couple divorced in 2005. Aviva then married her second husband, Reid Drescher, who has one daughter from a previous marriage, Veronica Drescher (2003). Together they have two children, Hudson Drescher (2008) and Sienna Drescher (2011).
